about me
Bienvenue! My name is Marissa. I'm a recent Muhlenberg College graduate with a BA in French and a teaching certification in Elementary Education. My love for France and all things French began early (many thanks to Madeline), and was only deepened by the wonderful experience I had during my semester abroad in Nantes. La joie partout is a lyric from a song by Charles Trenet, "Y'a d'la joie partout", there is joy everywhere. This little ditty filled the house of my homestay in Nantes, even I found myself humming the tune while doing homework and walking to school. Joy everywhere explains exactly how I saw France when living there for the first time, and on here I will recount the joys of my second sojourn! I'm currently living and teaching English in the region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine as a part of TAPIF (Teaching Assistant Program in France.)
